Celebrate Mental Health

What is 'Celebrate Mental Health'?

Celebrate Mental Health is the notion of celebrating mental health and passing on the benefits to others who are in need of help. This can be done in several different ways; helping another person through difficulty, promoting techniques to have better mental health, sharing what works, and practicing self-care.

Volunteer to Help Others through Difficulty

  • Audio Information Network of Colorado- volunteer to read the news to people who have sight problems.
  • Grand Junction Senior Recreation- volunteer to help seniors with their recreation needs, or engage in your own recreation.
  • RSVP of Mesa County- offers several opportunities for senior volunteers in Mesa County.
  • The Tree House- volunteer to help youth in the Mesa County community.
  • Become a foster parent- foster homes are in great need across Mesa County, please visit Mesa County's Foster Care page.
  • Call people at risk, please contact The Western Colorado Suicide Prevention Foundation by visiting the Contact Us page.
  • Possibilities are endless, it is all about being creative to meet a person's needs when they are in need. Think about what care you would like if you are in need, how can you apply that to others?

How People Save Lives
