Hardhat Training

Hope for Hardhats is an outreach program that provides training and awareness of suicide prevention in the construction fields through specific curriculum designed for "tough guys." The curriculum is brought to the jobsite using proven methods of tailgate safety meetings about the signs of suicide.

Toolbox Talks

Encourage and receive referrals of workers whose circumstances place them at risk of mental health issues including suicidial ideation, and provide them with appropriate support services.

Increase at risk workers access to appropriate support and resources in order to reduce the risk of suicide or self harm.

Improve the Building & Construction Industry awareness and understanding of suicide issues and develop more supportive attitudes to those in the industry workforce at risk.

Increase the level of well-being and social connectedness of all members of the industry community.

Build strong resilience of new, mostly young workers in the industry (apprentices and trainees) to protect against suicide.
